When overseas customers consider purchasing a Robotic Screen, their main concerns usually focus on lead time, installation requirements, maintenance, software compatibility, customization capability, warranty, and after-sales support. These questions form Spectrum Creative’s standardized technical communication framework for global customers.
This is one of the most common questions from overseas customers. The answer depends on the project type.
For standard products, such as the Robotic-160 indoor retractable Robotic Screen and the Robotic-250 rental series, Spectrum Creative adopts a modular “digital building material” design approach. Precision cabinet assembly and standardized production help shorten manufacturing time. Typical orders can be completed and shipped within approximately 4–6 weeks after confirmation.
For rental and exhibition applications, the Robotic rental series features quick-connect installation design, allowing same-day setup and dismantling. At ISE 2026, Spectrum Creative presented its Robotic Screen solutions, with the exhibition system completed within hours.
To shorten the early planning stage, overseas customers are recommended to provide complete site information before ordering, including ceiling height, structural load capacity, power supply conditions, and installation dimensions.
A Robotic Screen is not simply a display that can be mounted anywhere. Installation requirements vary depending on the product model and application environment.
For indoor models (Robotic-160 / Robotic-250):
The Robotic-160 features an ultra-thin 330mm body design. Combined with wall-mount brackets, the total finished installation depth can be controlled at approximately 350mm. Its 100% front-maintenance structure eliminates the need for rear maintenance space.
The installation surface must be evaluated according to the total display weight and the density of moving modules. For example, Robotic-160 integrates approximately 40 moving modules per square meter, requiring sufficient structural support.
Power requirements depend on the total display size and project configuration, with industrial power supply recommended.
For outdoor models (Robotic-500):
Robotic-500 adopts a heavy-duty steel cabinet structure with a thickness of up to 1430mm, requiring independent foundation and structural calculations.
The system is designed for challenging outdoor environments, operating between -10℃ and 60℃, with protection against high temperature, high humidity, strong UV exposure, and coastal environments.
Its industrial die-casting structure, semi-enclosed self-cooling system, waterproof design, and anti-corrosion treatment allow long-term outdoor operation.
Robotic Screen solutions support multiple installation methods, including wall mounting, ceiling installation, upward-facing installation, and customized structures.
Before project development, overseas customers can provide architectural drawings and site photos. Spectrum Creative’s engineering team can conduct remote structural evaluations.
The maintenance philosophy of a Robotic Screen is different from traditional LED displays.
Traditional LED screens are often repaired after failure. Robotic Screen systems require planned inspection and fast module replacement.
The Robotic-160 front-maintenance design allows LED modules and key mechanical components to be removed and replaced directly from the front side. Technicians do not need access behind the display, reducing repair time from several hours to only minutes.
For rear-maintenance solutions such as Robotic-250, the project design needs to reserve approximately 600–800mm of maintenance space behind the screen. Engineers can access mechanical transmission components and LED modules through the rear service corridor.
Recommended maintenance schedule:
Monthly inspection: Check movement performance, signal connections, and cooling systems.
Semi-annual maintenance: Professional engineers perform mechanical lubrication and calibration.
Spare parts preparation: Keep approximately 3–5% key modules available for quick replacement.
For overseas projects, customers are recommended to purchase spare parts packages together with the system to avoid maintenance delays caused by international logistics.
The software system is the core intelligence behind a Robotic Screen.
Spectrum Creative’s control architecture supports major professional platforms used in visual production and interactive installations.
TouchDesigner Integration
The system supports real-time interactive content. Through integration with sensors and interactive devices, the Robotic Screen can respond to audience movement, environmental data, and interactive commands.
Through dedicated TD2Matrix node mapping, human movement data can be converted into real-time Z-axis movement instructions for Robotic modules.
DMX512 / Art-Net Compatibility
The system supports professional lighting control protocols. Lighting designers can directly control movement effects through existing lighting consoles.
MShow4 Platform
MShow4 provides a simplified creative workflow for wave-style Robotic displays, allowing designers without advanced programming skills to create motion content.
After Effects Workflow
Visual designers can use grayscale values from 2D video content in After Effects to generate physical Z-axis movement instructions, enabling a more intuitive content creation process.
Motion Control Software
Spectrum Creative’s proprietary Retractable Robotic Screen Motion Trajectory Editing System V1.0 allows designers to control movement paths, speed, and timing through a timeline-based workflow.
Before purchasing, overseas customers can confirm their content team’s preferred software environment. Spectrum Creative can provide corresponding technical training.
Compared with traditional LED displays, Robotic Screen systems offer much higher customization flexibility.
Size customization:
From indoor Robotic series products to outdoor Robotic-500, Spectrum Creative supports applications ranging from compact installations to large-scale architectural displays.
Appearance customization:
Panel colors, materials, and textures can be customized according to brand identity and spatial design requirements. Options include injection molding finishes, metallic coatings, printing, electroplating, stickers, and UV printing. Surface effects can include glossy, matte, mirror, and color-changing finishes.
Motion customization:
Through the Retractable Robotic Screen Motion Trajectory Editing System V1.0, designers can define movement paths, speed curves, and timing sequences for each Robotic module.
Structural customization:
The system supports ceiling installation, wall mounting, upward-facing installation, and customized architectural integration.
For best results, overseas customers are encouraged to provide brand guidelines and architectural concepts during the early design stage, allowing Spectrum Creative to evaluate both visual and structural feasibility.
Spectrum Creative provides a standard warranty system:
Mechanical structure: 2 years warranty
LED modules: 2 years warranty (excluding human damage)
Control system: 2 years warranty
The overseas support system includes:
Remote technical support
Engineers can provide troubleshooting assistance and operation guidance through online meetings.
Fast spare parts supply
